Phillip Stokes

Australia

The team at Stokes Racing is delighted to offer our only Ready2Race purchase of the year so far, secured in partnership with OTI Racing. An exciting colt by Profondo, purchased from the Inglis Ready2Race Sale, the source of Group 1-winning two-year-old Tron Bolt, dual Group 1 winner Nettoyer and millionaire Democracy Manifest. This colt immediately caught our eye with his strength, athleticism and movement. He backed that up with a promising breeze in 10.74 seconds, showing the quality we look for in a young horse. We see him as capable of racing at two, but with his best ahead of him at three, with his scope and pedigree suggesting he would be a ‘Guineas or Derby' type. His sire, Profondo, combines an outstanding pedigree with Group 1 performance. A son of global sire sensation Deep Impact, he topped the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale at $1.9 million before winning the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes at just his third start. Quality in the sale ring, proven on the racecourse. On the dam’s side, Rockabye Lady is by champion sire Fastnet Rock and is a half-sister to Group-placed Nocturne, from the family of Group 1 Queensland Oaks winner Zagalia. An athletic colt with a quality pedigree and an exciting profile. We believe he represents excellent value and are looking forward to seeing what he can do. There are limited shares available so get in touch!

OUTSTANDING COLT BY A STALLION ON FIRE

Alabama Express / Riduna Colt '24

The team at Stokes racing is very excited to have secured a beautiful colt from a blue-chip stallion. By five-time Group 1 winner and Australian Champion 3yo Colt, The Autumn Sun, who keeps producing classic winners such as Autumn Boy and the unbeaten Autumn Glow. This colt has impressed Tommy and Phillip with his athleticism and laid-back nature. His Dam, Intiba is an American-bred mare by Street Cry, the sire of champions like Winx and Zenyatta. Intiba has already produced winners such as Jenni Intiba (by Written Tycoon), who won at Pakenham in early 2025.This colt’s Granddam, Danelagh, was a Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes winner and is the Dam of Hong Kong legend Vengeance of Rain and Australian Oaks winner Dizelle. This colt offers a low-entry-point into a blue-chip stallion's progeny. His primary upside lies in The Autumn Sun's current trajectory towards becoming a dominant force in Australian racing, while the international updates in the Dam line provide residual value when the colt makes his mark on the track. Parade Video

LOW ENTRY POINT INTO A BLUE-CHIP STALLION'S PROGENY

The Autumn Sun / Intiba Gelding '24

Meet our new edition to the stable who Phillip Stokes and Wylie Dalziel were excited to secure at last week's Adelaide Magic Millions yearling sales and will be aimed for the early 2yo races. She looks a 2yo type with scope to go on and was a great type which is why we really liked her. This filly's sire Best of Bordeaux was a very high-class racehorse. He is the son of the proven champion sire Snitzel. He was a fast 2yo winning the G3 Canonbury Stakes, G2 Silver slipper and was runner up in the G1 Golden Slipper. He has won $1.47m in Stakes earnings and he was crowned the highest rating 2yo of his generation with 3 wins and 2 seconds from only 8 starts. The mare The Amazing Thalia is a daughter of another good 2yo and champion sprinter in Europe Equiano. The pedigree is strong enough and has produced some very fast horses including De Sonic Boom and Lavarrod. She will be paid up for the lucrative Magic Millions full Australia wide race series and the SA Rewards bonus racing series and is Vobis paid up and qualified for Victorian racing. Please see video report below from her education process. Video Report Please contact Wylie Dalziel on 0418 362 574 or wylie@dalzielracing.com to secure a share.
