The team at Stokes Racing is delighted to offer our only Ready2Race purchase of the year so far, secured in partnership with OTI Racing. An exciting colt by Profondo, purchased from the Inglis Ready2Race Sale, the source of Group 1-winning two-year-old Tron Bolt, dual Group 1 winner Nettoyer and millionaire Democracy Manifest.

This colt immediately caught our eye with his strength, athleticism and movement. He backed that up with a promising breeze in 10.74 seconds, showing the quality we look for in a young horse. We see him as capable of racing at two, but with his best ahead of him at three, with his scope and pedigree suggesting he would be a ‘Guineas or Derby' type.

His sire, Profondo, combines an outstanding pedigree with Group 1 performance. A son of global sire sensation Deep Impact, he topped the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale at $1.9 million before winning the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes at just his third start. Quality in the sale ring, proven on the racecourse. On the dam’s side, Rockabye Lady is by champion sire Fastnet Rock and is a half-sister to Group-placed Nocturne, from the family of Group 1 Queensland Oaks winner Zagalia.
