Stoked! SA Derby Day
While it’s a quieter Saturday from a runners perspective we will still have Group 1 representation with Femminile set to contest the SA Derby at Morphettville.
The OTI Racing-owned filly will back up into the 2500m feature after staying on to finish only three lengths behind high-quality galloper Benagil in the G1 Australasian Oaks.
Lachy Neindorf has been booked to ride and will partner the daughter of Dundeel from barrier four.
We will saddle up a further six runners across the card at Morphettville on Saturday.
Our ever-consistent sprinter Shirshov heads to Caulfield in superb form after a tough third placing against quality opposition in the Discovery at Echuca.
Shirshov maps to get a lovely run up on speed from barrier three and is well weighted relative to race favourite Oak Hill, who has only just had his measure in their last two outings against each other.
Regal Bloodstock’s Twin Perfection resumes in the same race after two nice trials and will be partnered by Tom Stockdale from barrier seven.
